Walking Tour: In the Path of Jane McCrea

During the Revolutionary War, a significant catalyst for colonial rebellion and anti-British sentiment was the murder of Jane McCrea, which sent shockwaves throughout the land. Learn about the history of this event and walk the route Jane McCrea traveled that fateful day of July 27, 1777, from the McNeil house to the site of Fort Edward High School, where she died.
Other items of local history will be covered on
the walk, including some portions of the Old Champlain Canal.
