We are thrilled to announce that we will open this season for tours and special events! You are invited to experience the main house and several outbuildings decorated in a variety of styles that reflect different eras of Christmas traditions.
Director’s Tours
By reservation only, on December 27th and 28th at 6 or 7 PM you can tour our decorated buildings and hear the behind-the-scenes story of The Old Fort House Museum. Paul, pictured here during a Christmas open house in 1980, assumed the role of Director in 1981 and has faithfully stewarded the property ever since. His passion and knowledge of the history of our buildings and this area make for an engaging and informative tour

Final Day for Regular Tours Thursday, December 26th 1 to 4 PM
Opening Reception Thursday December 4th 5-7 PM
Refreshments, Candlelight tour, ADK A Cappella Caroling 6-6:30 PM. Admission is $15 per person, children admitted free with a paid adult.
Candlelight Tours Tuesdays December 9th and 16th 5-7 PM Live music, period decor and guided tours. Admission is $15 per person, children admitted free with a paid adult.
Regular Christmas Tours Thursday through Sunday 1-4 PM
Beginning December 4th, ending December 21st. Admission is $10 per person, children admitted free with a paid adult.
Santa’s Office
Children and their parents are invited to visit Santa’s office free of Charge! Experience the magic and take photos with Kris Kringle in a beautiful historic setting.
